Motorcycles

The PSRA is classified by the Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA) as Mini Road Racing.  According to the CMA Rule Book (which can be found on our site here), Mini Road Racing is defined as: Competition on paved closed course circuits or paved lots to a maximum of 1,600 metres in length.  All Road Racing regulations apply unless otherwise specified in the following rules.  This means that the PSRA runs motorcycles modified for road racing on dedicated racing circuits.  

Several classes of motorcycles are used varying in chassis type, displacement, and nature of modifications.  The Classes page includes a full list and description of each type of applicable machine.  The rule book covers the specific characteristics and restrictions for each class.  Some of the key characteristics of track-ready bikes are described below:
